Behold the best of the best. These are the blogs that blow my mind and make me laugh.
Bibliacs
- Ancient Hebrew Poetry: Glorious glimpses behind the curtain that separates pagans like myself from the holy house of Hebrew.
- Ben Witherington: A popular Bible blogger who is always interesting. He has some nutty ideas but don’t we all.
- Better Bibles Blog: As Picasso said about Matisse, “He is the mother of us all.” BBB is the mother of all Bible translation blogs. Morphing lately in really good ways.
- Chrisendom: The second cleverest person in the world. Always good for a laugh and an occasional “Hmmmm.”
- ГЛАС СТЕФАНА: The Little Stevie Wonderful of Bible bloggers. I read everything he writes despite his being pinned to the cardboard by Blogger when he could be flying with turkeys at WordPress.
- εν εφέσω: A mind unshackled by traditional approaches to Koine.
- Euangelion: Proof that not all Baptists are hopelessly uncool.
- MetaCatholic: Witty. Ability to incite. Wears a dog collar. Woof!
- Teaching OT in faraway places: Keeping tabs on the perambulating professor.
- THIS LAMP: Occasionally takes a break from his vodka and caviar to give us a good Bible translation related post.
Linksters
- Dr Jim West: Weird uncle of the bible blogosphere. Funny, except when he’s had a few too many Diet Cherry Dr. Peppers.
- SmartChristian.com: Continually confusing with the next blog.
- Think Christian: Continually confusing with the previous blog.
Un-pigeon-hole-able
- Aristotle’s Feminist Subject: Skiing naked down the slippery slope of rhetoric and feminishticism.
- Beyond Words: The only blogger on my blogroll who is a better speller than I am.
- Cam’s View of the World: My cousin laying waste to sacred sites in Jerusalem.
- Eclexia: A globalized, polyglot, full-hearted and many-minded friend of mine.
- Gentle Wisdom: Occasionally gentle. Somewhat wise. A teddy bear with teeth.
- He is Sufficient: Bone-breaking Bible-basher and apocalyptic apologist. Shares my sentiments for JIMB.
- internetmonk.com: The icon in my niche.
- Iyov: The Invisible Man of Biblioblogdom.
- Kouya Chronicle: Swallowed by the beast. Soon to be spit out on a beach near you.
- Kruse Kronicle: Star Chamber Seer of Market-Fueled Development
- Sufficiency: Riddle-ridden Angel who floated to earth.
- Suzanne’s Bookshelf: Lady Powerscourt has silk gloves and a chainsaw.
- The Empty Nest: Feathered fantasia. Traded her Pith Helmet for a Stetson
- The Ongoing Adventures of ASBO Jesus: Hoodie-winking the hidebound
- Threads from Henry’s Web: A Spidery Spin on the Bible
- Today at the Mission: The Pearls are in the Soup
Africa
- Accra by Day & Night: Ghana Photo Blog
- Ben Byerly’s Blog: Kenya Theology and Current Events
- chapa100: Moçambique - Poesia Ambulante
- Diário de um sociólogo Moçambique - Soçiologando
- Moçambique para todos Moçambique - Noticias Nampulenses e mais
- NDAGHA: Media Mogul of Malawi
- Rob and Lois in Benin: Uh, Benin…ethnomusicolospherist
- The Former Optimist: Mozambique Newbie
- White African: Virtual Africa

I’m very much not in this list, but that’s all be made up for with the description of Kurk:
Skiing naked down the slippery slope of rhetoric and Bible translation.

Now, let’s not cover the feminism with fig leaves:
וַיִּהְיוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם עֲרוּמִּים הָאָדָם וְאִשְׁתֹּו וְלֹא יִתְבֹּשָׁשׁוּ׃
καὶ ἦσαν οἱ δύο γυμνοί, ὅ ἀνδρὸς καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ᾐσχύνοντο.

Thanks for “Un-pigeon-hole-able”. As for my teeth, be very careful!

I like the “spidery spin” thing. I may have to steal it for a new subtitle for my blog.
Trying out a new look… « He is Sufficient // April 24, 2008 at 11:59 am
[...] this blog really just a “wilderness of words” where I unleash my inner “Bone-breaking Bible-basher and apocalyptic apologist“? I hope [...]
