I’m still waiting for Automattic to release the lingamish.com domain so I can map it to my new host. I’ve been posting over there like crazy but I don’t want you to know what the root domain is, so I can’t make the switch until I get the go from Automattic.

Here are a few things that I’m excited about:

• A shout box: I’ve always wanted one.
• The coolest theme I’ve ever seen. I just keep hitting reload to see what it will look like next.
• Lots of share-ability
• Cool semantic tagging

A lot of this sounds like geekery. But the result will be more signal, less noise and a lot of cool ways for us to interact as readers and writers.

I’ve just handed out the latest Lingies, but I can’t publish the news until the domain transfer goes through. Yeek! The suspense is killing me.

I would love one of these. Would someone like to purchase it and send it to me in Africa? I think my Mozambican friends would think it was really cool since Obama is right up there with Mandela and Tutu.

An added advantage is that because it’s clover you can actually trim the Commander in Chief’s head and add his green locks to your salad.

Someone came by our house on Friday afternoon with a desperate situation. The cart bringing their maize back to town had broken down and they were stranded on the side of the road with night coming on. He said it was just a little bit of maize, but I knew what he really meant!

The Scheibe Illusion

The course of experience was something as follows : All images at first appeared to be inverted; the room and all in it seemed upside down. The hands when stretched out from below into the visual field seemed to enter from above. Yet although these images were clear an definite, they did not at first seem to be real things, like the things we see in normal vision, but they seemed to be misplaced, false, or illusory images between the observer and the objects or things themselves.

Transformation of the perceptual world

He brought back many holy pictures of the saints to adorn the church of St Peter he had built: a painting of the Mother of God, the Blessed Mary Ever-Virgin, and one of each of the twelve apostles which he fixed round the central arch on a wooden entablature reaching from wall to wall: pictures of incidents in the gospels with which he decorated the south wall, and scenes from St John’ vision of the apocalypse for the north wall.
