Monday Messianic Madness

2008 March 3
by David Ker

Morning, folks.

My mind is swirling with all sorts of mad projects this morning like squeezing the Bible on to cell phones and other various plans which form part of my long-term strategy for world domination. Since I’m a bit too busy to post any of my brilliant ideas I thought I’d direct you to an entertaining post on ElShaddai Edwards’ blog He is Sufficient: What were you doing on December 17, 1994?

The world, in case you haven’t noticed, is really messed up. Fortunately, it is coming to an end sooner than you thought. Or it already did come to an end. Well, whatever the case, you’ll want to get the inside scoop on the apocalypse, the antichrist and more in ElShaddai’s post. Read it here.

I struggle with linking to ElShaddai’s post, because while the one comment is a vintage example of “internets crazy,” I don’t want to promote that guy’s book (not, for that matter, those that are the actual subject of E-S’s post!).

I struggled with the desire to frame my entire original post with a “tongue in cheek” tag. But then my impulse not to offend kicked in and it all unraveled from there…

When you’ve been on the blog scene as long as I have you’ll begin to take a strange pleasure in being misunderstood.

ElShaddai, you’re just too nice! This is a wonderful virtue, but also a mganbet for the “internets crazy.” Next time post using the most inflammatory language possible, and problem solved. ;-)

I was thinking about responding to Jonah with a serious reply, but wasn’t sure if that would be naughty or nice. :P
