Cyber-Psalm 12

2007 October 26
by David Ker

Though my voice is cracked and my throat is dry,
My soul sings to God and longs to be free.

My body is weighed down and weak.
My spirit flies to God and longs to be free.

Today I am weary.
     Sing to Jesus.
Today I am tired.
     Sing to be free.

Dust and bugs and glaring sun.
Someday I’ll fly above it all.

Can’t bang your toe on a rock.
     Up there.
Won’t swat a mosquito.
     Buzz. Buzz.
I’m buzzing out of here.

Right now, I’m stuck in these shoes.
Right now, I’m sitting in this chair.
But my soul praises God and I am free.
