Mega-shifts in Christian communication
At Think Christian there is a good snippet about proclamation of the Gospel with New Media. This subject is dear to my heart as I see New Media allowing many voices to be heard that were traditionally barred access to publishing and broadcasting. Here’s a brief quote:
Furthermore, predicts Al Hsu of InterVarsity Press, authors will better reflect “the multiethnic, global [church], with a truly international exchange of ideas.”
I see exactly that kind of exchange of ideas happening on this and other blogs. It’s amazing to consider the diversity of contributors and their country of origins. But while we revel in diversity there is a new-found sense of common identity. At the core, we are all just children of God, glorifying him and encouraging one another. It is a lessening of national identity and an increasing of kingdom identity.
That kind of future is something that I can get really excited about.
